Specification

This McLaren 650S Spider in MSO Mantis Green paintwork has an impressive specification, including an obscene amount of visible weave carbon fibre. Inside, the car boasts a combination of Alcantara and luxurious semi-aniline leather, complemented by cadmium yellow leather piping.

MSO Mantis Green

MSO Mantis Green is a vivid high-gloss green paint containing fine gold metallic flake. It sparkles intensely under direct sunlight or is a flat looking fluorescent under lower light conditions. The colour made its debut on the 650S in 2014.

Could the Praying Mantis insect be the inspiration for the vivid green paint and contrasting cadmium yellow detailing? The naming of the paint would suggest so.
Carbon Fibre – Lots of it

The gloss finish visual carbon fibre contrasts sharply with the vivid paintwork, drawing attention to the hi-tech aerodynamics that are synonymous with McLaren.

Interior – Driver Focussed

From the flat bottom steering wheel, to the large central analogue rev-counter, the seating position has only one purpose: The 650S, is without doubt, driver focussed. The interior of this 650S is trimmed in Alcantara and semi-aniline leather. Leather was an optional extra over Alcantara. Physical contact-points between driver and car remain trimmed in Alcantara (steering wheel and seat inserts), keeping buttocks, posterior and hands firmly where they should be (no sliding about). The leather makes for a practical and serviceable surface. Seats and carbon door cards are tastefully detailed with cadmium yellow leather piping, complementing the optional yellow McLaren branded brake callipers.

Switch surrounds, steering wheel trim, door card inserts, B-pillars, rear firewall capping, McLaren branded door sills and engine covers are in gloss finish visual carbon fibre. The gloss finish is so deep, you could almost swim in it.

Further Upgrades

Further upgrades from the options list are the alloy fluid filler caps (oil and coolant) and external badges, steering wheel boss and wheel centre caps in carbon finish. Exhaust trim surrounds and airbrake supports are in Stealth Finish. Aural drama is provided by an MSO Sports Exhaust, crafted from F1 grade Inconel alloy. If music is preferred over the exhaust note, there’s also the upgraded seven speaker Meridian DSP Surround Sound system.  Nose Lift, Electric/Heated Memory Seats, Parking Sensors, Reversing Camera and factory retrofitted Soft-close doors complete the list of upgrades.
