OWNERSHIP HISTORY
From when it was first registered in September 2014, through to 2026, it has had five owners, but in reality, it has only had four ‘human’ owners. The first owner was McLaren!
1st Owner – McLaren
Period: 01/09/2014 – 10/08/2015.
REG: Y80 MCL
Specified to be a McLaren factory demo-car, and wearing the McLaren registration Y80 MCL, the car attended various events and featured in press articles. Built to a 2015 model year (MY 2015), the specification is incredible.
During the 12 months of McLaren ownership, the original five spoke diamond cut wheels were replaced or painted silver.
2nd Owner – Name Known
Period: 10/08/2015 – 12/03/2016
Reg: Unknown
The car entered the main dealer network through McLaren Glasgow where it was sold to its first ‘human’ owner (name known), who kept it for seven months. Not much else is known about the period, except that it possibly resided in the South West of England or Wales due to it being serviced by McLaren Bristol?

3rd Owner – Name Known
Period: 12/03/2016 – 01/05/2022
Reg: H8 ADW
The car was purchased in March 2016 by a McLaren enthusiast – previously had MP4-12C. The car was purchased via the trusted McLaren specialist Alastair Bols (bill-of-sale within documentation). The car resided in the Hampshire area.
Shortly after purchase, the five spoke wheels were upgraded, replaced with genuine McLaren gloss black ten spoke super lightweight wheels. A Smart-top remote controller was also fitted. The same ten spoke wheels and remote controller remain fitted to the car in 2026.

4th Owner – Name Known
Period: 01/05/2022 – 17/03/2026.
Reg: TR09 BEA
Purchased in 2022 from Hills Prestige in Hampshire, the car was relocated to the Hull area. As evidenced by invoices for 2022, 2023 and 2024, the car remained with Thorney Motorsport for servicing and maintenance, thereafter, changing to the more local and northern based Jack Webb Motorsport (JWM) in 2025.
5th Owner – Name Known
Period: 17/03/2026 – Present Day
Reg: HF64 DXO
Advertised privately through a McLaren social media group, the car was subsequently purchased by me. The car was known to me through a McLaren Owners Club event that I had previously attended. Already knowing of the impressive specification, maintenance history and ownership provenance, I grasped the opportunity and quickly acquired the car.
The car resides in the North East Lincolnshire area, still remaining with JWM as the trusted McLaren independent specialist for servicing and maintenance.
The wheels have been refinished in OE silver.
